STANDARD DUTIES:
Under the direction of a Senior Boiler Inspector, the incumbent will but not limited to:
o Scheduled regulatory safety inspections of high and low pressure boilers an boiler installations to ensure their safe operating condition and to enforce compliance with statutory provisions of the Labor Law and industrial rules relating to boiler operations. o You would make inspections as the result of complaints or accidents. o These inspections may require climbing through small openings, climbing on top of boilers and spending considerable time with the boiler.

Salary Range:
From $45455 to $58028 Annually
Minimum Qualification
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 70.1 TRANSFER
Qualifications:
One year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service as a Salary Grade 12 or higher determined to be similar by Civil Service. 70.4 TRANSFER
Qualifications:
1. One year of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55 b/c service in a position allocated to a Salary Grade 12 or higher. 2. A passing score on the Boiler Inspector exam and 3. Must meet the minimum qualifications of a Boiler Inspector. Note:
Candidates must not have failed the most recent examination for this title. NOTE:

Either 1. an associate's or higher degree in engineering technology, marine engineering, mechanical engineering, or mechanical technology AND two years of full-time commercial, residential, or military experience in boiler making, boiler installation or inspection, OR the operation and maintenance of high and/or low pressure boilers including all firing apparatus and control devices; Or 2. Four years of full-time commercial, residential, or military experience in boiler making, boiler installation or inspection, OR the operation and maintenance of high and/or low pressure boilers including all firing apparatus and control devices. Degrees in other fields will NOT be substituted in lieu of the specific specialized degrees listed above. PHYSICAL/MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS:
A medical examination will be required prior to appointment and you are responsible for payment of the clinical laboratory test fee. You may be required to have your physical and medical conditions evaluated annually to ensure that you are able to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. FINGERPRINTING/BACKGROUND CHECK:
