Digital Media Account Executive
WKTV News Channel 2 is looking for digitally savvy, highly motivated sales professionals to join our advertising team in Utica, NY selling our marketing solutions to local and regional businesses. The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented, a relentless hunter, driven to win new businesses, and has a track record of exceeding monthly goals. Digital Media Account Executives maximize advertising sales potential through the development of quality business relationships and promotion of new/existing advertising products. This position requires a heavy amount of prospecting and lead-development with local and regional businesses. This position will report directly to the Director of Digital Media.
Essential Duties include:
Generating new leads by making cold calls, calling on inactive accounts, and maintaining an awareness of new businesses opening in the area.
Understanding the clients' advertising needs, and developing the ideal marketing solution.
Delivering customized sales presentations in person or by phone/web-demos.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years sales experience as an individual contributor in a sales (hunter) role.
Digital Sales background (i.e. paid search, social, email, mobile, and daily deals).
Experience selling into business to business market.
Consultative/Solutions/ROI selling experience vs. a single Product selling background.
Proven track record in meeting/exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals.
You are self-motivated and results-oriented.
You have an outgoing, resilient personality.
You enjoy the thrill of the hunt by bringing in new business.
You are confident and not willing to accept average.
Passion to educate & sell.
Exceptional written, verbal, phone and presentation skills.
Strong computer skills.
Must have a valid driver license and access to reliable transportation.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
