We have an excellent opportunity available for a Process Engineer - Plastics Molding in the Syracuse, NY area. As the Process Engineer, you will ensure all molding systems operate effectively to support plant production. This includes maintaining, troubleshooting and improving these systems with an overall goal to improve quality, improve efficiencies and drive down costs.

Key Duties will include:

Assist in the development and support of molding department technicians.
Work with Production control and QC to insure availability of high quality molded parts as needed.
Set specifications for all molding materials. Monitor these materials to make certain the specifications are met, and that the materials are applied properly in the molding systems.
Develop and manage process specifications for all molder/mold combinations in the plant
Monitor molding manufacturing processes and implement cost and quality improvements to minimize molding waste.
Develop and monitor PM procedures for all molds and molding equipment
Provide technical input to Engineering Department in new mold design and modifications.
Evaluate and interact with outside supplier sources for molded parts, components, molds, and tooling.

Position Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in extrusion blow molding and secondly plastics injection moldingEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
