Rental Counter Sales
McQuade & Bannigan McQuade & Bannigan Utica, NY Utica, NY Full-time Full-time $16 - $19 an hour $16 - $19 an hour Summary Receive orders, generally in person, for repairs, rentals, and services.
May describe available options, compute costs Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Wait on customers at rental/service counter Answer rental and service related phone calls Load/unload rental equipment and scaffold Be able to use computers to look up parts breakdowns Check in and put away parts in parts room.
Work collaboratively with managers, fellow sales personnel, and other company staff to promote and maintain company image to customers.
Drug testing prior to hire with random testing throughout employment Regular plus overtime hours.
Duties Prepare merchandise for display or for purchase or rental.
Recommend and provide advice on a wide variety of products and services.
Answer telephones to provide information and receive orders.
Greet customers and discuss the type, quality, and quantity of merchandise sought for rental.
Prepare rental forms, obtaining customer signature and other information, such as required licenses.
Receive, examine, and tag articles to be altered, cleaned, stored, or repaired.
Inspect and adjust rental items to meet needs of customer.
Explain rental fees, policies, and procedures.
Reserve items for requested times and keep records of items rented.
Receive orders for services, such as rentals, repairs.
Rent items, arrange for provision of services to customers, and accept returns.
Provide information about rental items, such as availability, operation, or description.
Advise customers on use and care of merchandise.
Requirements Efficient with computers Qualifications to include but are not limited to:
strong communication and organizational skills the ability to work well with others as part of a team attention to detail ability to multi-task strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc) the will and the drive to succeed Some responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Continuously seek to enhance selling skills and product knowledge.
Educate customers in product features and advantages and provide personal hands-on service to promptly assist customers with any issues that arise.
Work collaboratively with sales managers, fellow sales personnel, and other company staff to promote and maintain company image to suppliers and customers alike.
Process sales orders and provide direction and supervision for picking, packing, and delivering the orders within defined timing and scheduling.
