John's Church in Downtown Utica, this full-time position will provide administrative support to Catholic parishes in the Greater Utica Area.
Essential skills include knowledge of general accounting principles and practices, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage and supervise effectively in a team environment, and good computer skills (especially Word, Excel, & Publisher).
Flexibility and the ability to embrace and promote new ideas and processes are a must.
As the Parish Business Administrator, you would be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of all financial files and records; overseeing vendor contracts; maintaining parish files and records; and participating in communications and messaging for the parishes, including bulletins, websites, and social media.
You will also need to maintain good working relationships and communications with other parish offices, diocesan offices, and parishioners, and ensure compliance with Diocesan procedures and rules, as well as governmental laws and regulations.
A bachelor's degree in business or related field, and/or several years working in an office environment are required.
A background in Parish Business Administration or the willingness to be professionally trained in that discipline is also required.
