1K a year 13 days ago 13 days ago 13 days ago The Maintenance Worker performs a variety of maintenance, troubleshooting and repair projects, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry for Nation buildings.
First response for daily trouble calls from building occupants.
Position
Responsibilities:
Performs daily maintenance, troubleshooting and repair work orders for Nation Buildings Conduct initial first line troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of HVAC systems Performs electrical work including installations up to 120 volts, lighting repairs, etc.
Performs maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of plumbing systems Participates in remodeling projects which may require light carpentry, painting, minor electrical and finish restoration.
Paints parking lots and curbs twice a year, paints store interiors as requested by Painters Pressure washes buildings and sidewalks Performs quarterly assessment of all equipment and facilities to determine maintenance needs and recommend replacements.
Uses hand tools, electric tools, ladders and miscellaneous power equipment as directed, in a safe and effective manner.
Removes snow and ice from roofs and assist with plowing parking lots and shoveling snow as needed.
Assist with HVAC and snow removal Position Minimum
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalency.
Three to Five years' experience in roofs/heights/roof drains for commercial building maintenance.
Must possess a valid New York State Driver's license, with no restrictions Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends.
Ability to work with heights, ladders, and lifts Position Physical Requirements:
Ability to withstand heavy physical work.
Must have visual acuity for operating equipment and motor vehicles.
Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, and walk.
Ability to work outside in extreme heat and cold.
Ability to work around noise and hazards such as proximity to mechanical parts, moving vehicles, working on ladders/high places, electrical current, exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, gages, poor ventilation, and oils.
Ability to work in close quarters, crawl spaces, shafts, and other confined spaces.
Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers, bending pushing, and pulling.
