Utica, NY Utica, NY Full-time Full-time $105,000 - $120,000 a year $105,000 - $120,000 a year The Vice President (VP) of Plant Maintenance/Engineering at our food manufacturing facility will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of the facility, ensuring the safe and efficient production of food products.
Some of the key responsibilities of the VP of Plant Maintenance may include:
Leading a team of maintenance personnel to ensure the smooth operation of the facility's equipment and infrastructure.
Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs for all equipment and systems, including production lines, utilities, HVAC, and electrical systems.
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies related to environmental, health, and safety.
Collaborating with other departments such as production, quality, and logistics to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of products.
Developing and managing the plant maintenance budget, including capital expenditures for equipment upgrades and replacements.
Identifying and implementing cost-saving measures to improve the plant's efficiency and profitability.
Ensuring the plant meets all regulatory requirements, including food safety regulations and environmental regulations.
Managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts for maintenance and repair services.
The VP of Plant Maintenance/Engineering should have a strong background in maintenance and engineering, preferably in the food manufacturing industry, with at least 7-10 years of experience managing large teams and budgets.
They should possess excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
Additionally, they should be adept at identifying and implementing process improvements and cost-saving measures.
